What is ThePornDude?
ThePornDude is an adult site directory that categorises and reviews thousands of sites, each with a short opinionated write-up, presented on a single dense index page. It has run since the early 2010s, and the category taxonomy it established has become the informal standard for the whole space.
It is also translated into around thirty languages, which is unusual for a directory and a large part of why its reach is what it is.
What does it do better than anyone else?
Coverage and consistency. The breadth is unmatched — nothing else indexes this many adult sites with any editorial layer at all. The reviews carry a recognisable point of view rather than reading as generated filler, and dead sites do get pruned rather than accumulating.
It is also fast, because it is essentially text. Our check measured a 135ms response — the second fastest in this entire directory — on a 569KB document.
Is it trustworthy?
Our check confirmed the full compliance set on the live site: 2257 statement, DMCA policy, privacy policy and terms of service. No ad network was detected in the page source, which is consistent with a site monetised through affiliate links rather than display advertising.
Like every directory in this space, including this one, outbound links are monetised. That should inform how you read any ranking, here or anywhere.
Where does it fall short?
The presentation is a wall of links. There is one voice rather than structured criteria, so there is no per-site score you can sort or compare, and no way to see why one site ranks above another. Visual information is almost absent — no screenshots, no site icons, nothing to judge a site by before clicking through.
Those gaps are, candidly, the reason XSITES exists. We would rather state that than pretend to be a neutral observer.
Should you use it?
Yes. It remains the most complete index of adult sites available, and for finding something in a category nobody else has bothered to cover, it is often the only option.
