What is MyDirtyHobby?
MyDirtyHobby is a German amateur platform launched in 2006, where independent creators sell their own clips, photo sets and messaging access directly to buyers. It carries profiles, follower relationships, live streaming and a community layer.
It is the largest German-language adult platform and one of the oldest creator marketplaces anywhere.
Why does the date matter?
Because the structure it launched with — independent creators, direct sales, profiles, messaging, no studio in the middle — is the model the creator economy is now built on, and it predates OnlyFans by more than a decade.
That is worth stating because the history usually gets told as though the model appeared in 2016. It did not. It appeared in German-language adult content in 2006, worked, and stayed regional for a long time because it was in German.
What is the German-language dimension?
Central. The platform is German throughout, the creators are predominantly German-speaking, and the messaging and community layer — which is a large part of the value — operates in German. Our check found no lang attribute declared, but the content itself is unambiguous.
For a German-speaking audience this is the domestic platform. For anyone else, the community half is inaccessible and what remains is a clip store.
What did we measure?
A 1,503ms response on an 11KB document — a very small page, which indicates a JavaScript application shell assembling the interface after load. The document declares a mobile viewport but no lang attribute.
Our scan detected no advertising network and confirmed a privacy policy and terms of service on the live site. 2257 and DMCA did not surface — and as with the other European producers in this block, 2257 is an American statute that does not bind a German operator.
How does the money work?
Clips and sets bought individually, plus subscriptions and paid messaging on a per-creator basis. It is closer to a marketplace than to a subscription platform, and pricing is set by creators.
What are the drawbacks?
The 11KB shell means our scan tells you very little. The interface is dense and the German-language dependency is total. And the platform's ownership has changed hands over the years, which for a site holding this much creator history is worth being aware of.
Should you use it?
If you speak German, it is the domestic platform with the deepest creator base and eighteen years of history. If you do not, it is a clip store with a community you cannot join, and the creator platforms reviewed elsewhere in this directory serve you better.
